Baldor offers a wide selection of high performance AC brushless servo motors, DC servo motors, stainless steel servo motors and direct mount gearheads for the motion control industry. BSM C-Series Brushless Servo Motors
The BSM C-Series from Baldor provides industrial motion control machines with an AC brushless servo motor with “higher” inertia – thus suiting applications such as moving webs, machine tool, packaging, factory automation, material handling, printing converting, food packaging, assembly lines, and many other demanding applications.

The goal of this series design was to minimise cost while increasing torque and reducing package size (compared to previous Baldor designs). The result was a torque increase of up to 50% in some models, with a package reduction of up to 50mm.

The BSM C-series provides continuous stall torques ranging from 1.2 N-m to 120 N-m. Peak torques are 3 times continuous.
BSM N-Series Brushless Servo Motors
The BSM N-Series incorporate ultra low inertia ‘Neodymium-Iron-Boron’ magnets which provide performance comparable to ‘rare earth’ magnets and lower cost advantages. This series has the lowest inertia to provide the maximum torque per package size which delivers the highest acceleration capability – to position faster – to obtain the highest machine throughput!. Continuous stall torques range from 0.4 Nm to 40Nm. Peak torques are typically 4 times continuous.
BSM R-Series Compact Brushless Servo Motors
The Baldor BSM R-series allow designers to make use of the benefits of brushless technology – less maintenance, quieter operation and faster acceleration – in smaller, more compact projects. This series provides continuous stall torques ranging from 0.095 N-m to 1.27 N-m. Peak torques are 3 times continuous stall.

The R-series is designed for durability and long life. Models include encoder or resolver feedback and with or without brake.

Typical applications include stepper motor upgrades, labeling machines, material handling, semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and others.

This new BSM R-series is designed to operate with Baldor’s motion controllers and Baldor’s AC servo drive family, such as the MicroFlex family.
BSM Series N/C-AF Brushless Servo Motors with Encoder Feedback
Baldor BSM-N/C-AF Servo Motors listed in this section are Australian Stock Products that are filtted with Encoder Feedback as standard. These products are therefore generally available for immediate delivery.

DSMS Stepper Motor and Integrated Microstepping Drive
The DSMS motor is a compact, powerful and inexpensive solution that will reduce system cost, design and assembly time for a large range of stepping motor applications. It is ideally suited for use with Baldor's motion controllers, especially the versatile NextMove e100 motion controller.

HyCore™ 10 • Hybrid Core Linear Motors
Baldor has redefined linear motors with a technological breakthrough. Baldor’s new HyCore™ motor combines the best features and performance of traditional high speed, high force, closed loop brushless linear servo motors, with the cost advantages of open loop linear stepper motor technology. HyCore™ is extremely cost effective in applications requiring long stroke or high continuous duty. It has been designed to replace ball screw and belt/pulley actuators in many applications.
M-Series DC Servo Motors
Baldor's DC high performance servo motors were designed rugged to meet demanding requirements of industrial motion control. They can be supplied with many electrical and mechanical options so the design fits your application. Baldor DC servo motors provide continuous stall torques from 0.2 N-m to 6.3 N-m. They are designed to provide reliability and dependability and long life in today's tough applications.

Precision planetary and planetary/bevel gearheads for direct mounting to the Baldor BSM servo motor family to provide torque multiplication, speed reduction and inertia matching.

These highly efficient, all stainless steel, all planetary or planetary/bevel, servo rated gearheads provide low standard backlash of 5-10 arc minute maximum over the life of the gearhead. They are designed to mount directly onto Baldor’s stainless steel servo motors Series-SSBSM.
SSBMS Stainless Steel Brushless Servo Motors
Baldor stainless steel SSBSM series of motors are designed for food, liquid, washdown, hygiene and harsh, corrosive environments. These motors are designed to handle IP67 and withstand 1500 psi (103 bar) washdown conditions. Offered in standard and low inertia designs for best machine inertial matching. Included in this quality design are Teflon stainless steel double-sealed bearings with Viton™ O-rings, environmental protected stator with premium moisture resistant wire, and internal thermal over temperature protection. Baldor’s SSBSM products are designed to be durable - they are BISSC, UL, cUL and CE approved.
